IDT Glass Tag for Animals provides a permanent and contactless identification solution suitable for livestock, pets, fish, and research animals. Each tag contains an embedded microchip with a unique 15-digit ID, readable with LF RFID scanners, allowing precise tracking of:

  • Insurance and ownership verification
  • Herd management and traceability

Standard units are encased in biocompatible cylindrical bio-glass, making them completely safe for animals while ensuring long-term stability under various environmental conditions. The optional parylene coating enhances tissue adhesion and prevents tag migration after subcutaneous implantation, making it ideal for pets, fish, and laboratory animals. Larger glass tag transponders are suited for cattle, sheep, and goats, supporting efficient livestock management, productivity, and feed control, while smaller glass RFID tags can be embedded in birds for reliable avian tracking and identification. Each tag is sterile, moisture- and chemical-resistant, and designed for secure, consistent, and low-stress implantation using standard syringe applicators.
